Tour Description

To start with fresh morning, you will be picked up at the hotel around 07.00 in the morning and then continued to drive direct to Selogriyo Temple. It is one of the historical relics from the Hindu era in Central Java, and despite its relatively small size, this temple has significant historical and architectural value. The temple is an ancient site located in Windusari District, Magelang Regency, Central Java. It offers a unique and immersive tourist experience with its typical Hindu architecture and tranquil location on a hillside, Selogriyo Temple was built in the 8th to 9th centuries AD, during the period of the Ancient Mataram Kingdom, which was one of the largest Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms in Java at that time. This period is known as the heyday of temple architecture in Central Java, where many large and small temples were erected, including the more famous Prambanan Temple and Borobudur Temple.

After enjoying Candi Selogriyo, you will be driven to  visit the temple called Borobudur. The Borobudur Temple Compounds consists of three monuments: namely the Borobudur Temple and two smaller temples situated to the east on a straight axis to Borobudur. The two temples are Mendhut Temple, whose depiction of Buddha is represented by a formidable monolith accompanied by two Bodhisattvas, and Pawon Temple, a smaller temple whose inner space does not reveal which deity might have been the object of worship. Those three monuments represent phases in the attainment of Nirvana.

So, when you are finished with Borobudur, you will be transferred back to Hotel in Jogjakarta. End of service.
